My first impression of the Boston area was WOW. The campground was so clean and had so many great amenities such as basketball courts, baseball fields, a playground and multiple pools. After setting up the trailer, we went to the pool, but it was overly crowded and I couldn’t go into the hot tub because it was 18+, so I went home to start cooking the ribs that we got at the Amish market in Lancaster. They were quite good, and we then went to bed after dinner. On Sunday, we headed out for church at 10:00 to arrive at 10:30. It was a Fast and Testimony meeting at church, and many members of the ward shared rays of light in their lives. After the Sacrament Meeting, I went to Sunday school, where we learned about the law of consecration. After church, we got to go to our cousins’ house to hang out. We played a lot of lawn games before eating a dinner of chicken and rice. The Stones were very inviting and we had a great time.

After we said goodbye, we went home and went to bed. On Monday, we all got sick and stayed home until about noon. The first of the day’s excursions was a trip to Costco, followed by the Minute Man Museum. The Museum showcased the journey of Paul Revere and William Dawes to warn the colonists that the British were coming. After the museum, we went home, ate dinner, and then went to a random bowling alley to meet up with one of my childhood friends, Mustafa. We had a great time bowling, and then ate some pizza while discussing the school system, old friends, and odd things going on in our lives.

It got late FAST. We saw Mustafa for (hopefully not) the final time and then went home. Tuesday was our day to see downtown Boston. The first thing that we did was to go to a pizza shop recommended by Mustafa’s sister. After eating, we walked the Freedom Trail, taking some detours to see a cow and eat cannolis. We saw the first Anglican Church in the colonies, which included pews owned by members and relatives of the revolution. After finishing the trail, we went to eat dinner at Legal Seafood. The food was lackluster, so we got the bill and went home. Some other things that I would like to say: Boston was ultimately and completely better than NYC. It was cleaner, more polite, brighter, and had better food. I would highly recommend going to Boston over NYC if you have the choice. Next: Trenton, ME. Overall Rating: 8.8/10
