Nashville was a very fun stop for all of the family. On the day we arrived, we set up camp and walked around the campground to see what there was to do. There was a pool, but it was closed (you’ll see why in a second). After eating dinner that night, we went to bed. The following morning, Dad, Myra and I had the opportunity to go to the Nashville temple. It was eerily similar to the Spokane temple. Myra and I were proxy for 15 people getting baptized each, which is a lot; the typical amount is 4 or 5. After changing, we were confirmed for the people that we baptized, and they were given the power of the Holy Ghost. I like to think of how happy each individual who just started down the covenant path is. It makes me feel very happy as well that I was able to help them begin a journey to eternal life with their families.

After saying goodbye to the kind temple workers we drove home and joined up with Mom and Zina and went to the mall to do an escape room that Zina had done some research on. It was a very fun experience, although we did fail the ultimate goal. We worked well as a team and a family, and that is what matters. By this point, it was time for dinner, so we ate some barbecue at a place by the mall. In between the time that we went in to get dinner and when we went out to go to our concert, it started pouring rain (thus why the pool was closed). I think that it could be considered a minor flood, because the water had formed a whirlpool, and it was up to my shins in some areas. The concert itself was very good, with some of the best singers in the country genre. After the end of the concert, we had the opportunity to go backstage and receive a tour from one of the staff. It was cool to see where all of the amazing singers prepared to perform. By the end of the tour, it was almost 11 PM, so we immediately headed home and crashed. The following day, it was also pouring rain, so we didn’t get out of the trailer until 3 PM to go on a trolley ride. The guide was very funny and gave a great tour of the city. He said that Nashville is a drinking city with a music problem. I’m not sure how I feel about that. After the tour, we met up with some Harris cousins and ate dinner. After dinner, I played with the cousins and returned to our table to see a conversation with a young man who is trying to spread Christianity! We taught him about our faith and tried to emulate the pure love of Jesus Christ. I think that it is great and very Admirable that he is ministering so openly. That sums up our night on Thursday. On Friday, I woke up, did school, and wrote this. Thank you for reading. Next: Frankfort, KY. Overall Rating: 9.0/10

Such great words of wisdom, Will!
Great account of your Nashville adventures, Will! Since I’m learning the fiddle, I wish I could have been with you at the Grand Ole’ Opry! We LOVE hearing about what you’re doing! Keep up the good work!
